Audit Logs Access Permission

Control which users can see the audit logs on customer records.

Audit logs show the history of changes made to a customer and its records: what changed, the value before and after, when it happened and who or what made the change.

The Audit Logs Access permission lets Admins control which users can see this history.

What the Permission Controls

When Audit Logs Access is enabled for a user, they can open Audit Logs from a customer's Configuration tab and review the change history for the customers they have access to.

When it is disabled, the user does not see the audit logs.

Where to Find It

The Audit Logs Access permission appears in two places:

On an individual user

  1. Go to Settings → Users & Permissions → Users.

  2. Click on the user you want to edit.

  3. In the permissions section, locate the Audit Logs Access toggle and switch it on or off.

  4. Save your changes.

On a User Group

If you use User Groups, Audit Logs Access is included in the group's permission set. Enabling or disabling it on a group applies the setting to all members of that group at once.

  1. Go to Settings → Users & Permissions → User Groups.

  2. Open the relevant group and go to the Permissions tab.

  3. Toggle Audit Logs Access on or off.

  4. Save and confirm.

Things to Note

  • Only Admins can change this permission.

  • If a user belongs to an active User Group, the group's setting overrides their individual toggle, which then appears read-only.

  • If a user cannot see audit logs on a customer, check this permission first.
