Open Items Statement for NetSuite

The Open Items Statement for NetSuite accounts shows all open transactions including credit memos, payments, and journals for an accurate balance.

Where your statements come from

Kolleno can either generate your customer statements itself, or pull them straight from NetSuite. If your account is set to use NetSuite as the statement source, the PDF your customers receive is rendered by NetSuite so it looks and reads exactly like a statement printed from NetSuite.

What the Open Items Statement now shows

For NetSuite-sourced accounts, the Open Items Statement (PDF) now includes every open transaction on the account:

  • Open invoices

  • Unapplied credit memos

  • Unapplied payments

  • Journals

Settled and closed transactions are left out, so the closing balance matches the customer's actual outstanding amount.

Previously, this statement listed open invoices only — which meant credit memos, unapplied payments, and journals were missing, and the balance could appear higher than it really was.

How it compares to the Transactions Statement

Statement Type

What It Includes

Best For

Open Items Statement

Open transactions only invoices, credit memos, payments, journals

Monthly statements showing only what is currently outstanding

Transactions Statement

All activity in the period open and closed with a running balance

A full account history for a specific date range

This update applies to the PDF version only. The Excel (XLSX) version of the Open Items Statement is still produced by Kolleno as an aging breakdown of open invoices — the two formats will not match line for line.
