Chasing overdue invoices can be a challenge. To help you better manage your cash flow and keep tabs on payment commitments, Kolleno allows you to easily record a Promise to Pay on any invoice. In this article, we'll walk you through all the convenient methods for doing so, including directly from your main invoices list or within an individual customer's invoice view.
Customer Hub - Invoices
Each and every customer on Kolleno has a dedicated customer hub page. It colocates a lot of information specific to this single customer in one place. For example below we can see all the invoices for a specific customer
Notice that INV-1004 and INV-2002 both have no promise to pay’s active. Let’s see how we can go about adding a promise to pay on each of them.
Single promise to pay with multiple invoices
If your promise to pay should contain multiple invoices you can first select the required invoices from the table and then click on the Promise to pay button at the top right of table
The promise to pay creation screen will appear with the two invoices selected already
From here you can proceed to set the promise to pay date, add any additional comments or change the invoices selected. When you are ready click on save and the promise to pay will be created on both invoices.
Selecting invoices from Promise to Pay screen
You do not have to select any invoices before you can start creating a promise to pay. Simply click on the Promise to pay button to start.
The same promise to pay screen will appear and you can select the invoices to link using the invoices selector field
Directly from email
When an email has invoices attached it’s also possible to create a promise to pay directly from the email within the timeline
The invoices will be pre-selected and you will only need to complete the description and set a pay date.
Main invoices screen
From the main invoices receivable screen you can also easily create a promise to pay on a single invoice from the ellipses menu
The invoice will be pre-selected and you only need to add a description and promise to pay date
