As a user of Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, you have the capability to automatically populate your customer portfolios in Kolleno, using a specific dimension available on your customer cards.

This feature allows you to organise and categorise your customers into portfolios in Kolleno using a chosen dimension code.

How to set this up?

Step 1:

Access the customer card in Business Central where the dimension codes can be found.

Step 2:

Once on the customer card, click the search icon and enter "dimensions" in the search bar. Click on the first result.

Step 3:

From this screen, identify the dimension code you'd prefer for grouping customers into portfolios in Kolleno.

  • Examples of valid dimension codes in this scenario are AREA, CUSTOMERGROUP, and DEPARTMENT. However, your custom dimensions can differ.

    • It's important to note that a unique Kolleno customer portfolio is created for each potential value of your chosen dimension code. Customers are then allocated to these portfolios based on the value of the chosen dimension code on their respective customer cards.

    • For instance, if your selected dimension code is CUSTOMERGROUP, and it has three potential values - SMALL, MEDIUM, and LARGE, Kolleno will automatically create three separate customer portfolios. Subsequently, customers will be assigned to these portfolios based on their respective CUSTOMERGROUP dimension value code.

Step 4:

  • Contact our Customer Success team and provide them with the chosen dimension code, ensuring to specify that it's for the automatic assignment of customers to Kolleno portfolios.

  • Our team will then handle the necessary setup to ensure that your customer data in Business Central will automatically feed into the respective portfolios on Kolleno according to the dimension code provided.

  • If you are not using dimensions on Business Central currently but wish to categorise entries you can follow this Microsoft guide to setup dimensions on Business Central.
