By default anyone in your company can edit any note. This setting narrows that to the person who wrote it, so a record of a call or a promise cannot be changed by someone who was not there.

Notes are never deleted in Kolleno, only amended, so who may edit is the only permission involved.

When the setting is on, a note can be amended by:

Everyone else can read the note but not change it.

A note with no author stays editable by anyone. That covers notes brought in from another system and notes Kolleno generated itself: nobody could claim to have written them, and locking them would leave no way to correct a mistake.
