The Blackout window lets you define a recurring time window during which Kolleno makes no Workday API calls. While the window is open, both automatic scheduled syncs and manual ("Sync now") syncs are paused. This is useful for avoiding Workday maintenance periods which return errors and disconnect from Kolleno.
How to set it up
This setting is configured by the Kolleno team. To enable it, contact Kolleno support and tell us the window during which you'd like Workday syncs paused — for example, "every Saturday from 07:00 to 20:00". We'll configure it on your Workday connection for you.
Please include:
The day(s) and start time the window should begin.
The day(s) and end time the window should close.
The timezone the times are in (if different from your company's configured timezone).
The window can also span midnight (e.g. Friday 22:00 through Saturday 06:00) to pause syncs overnight.
Good to know
Times use your company's timezone by default, not UTC.
The window is recurring — once set, it applies every week until changed.
While the window is open, a manual sync is blocked with the message: "Workday sync is paused: the connection is inside its configured blackout window. Please try again after the window ends."
To change or remove the window later, just contact Kolleno support again.
