Understanding SFTP CSV File Import Errors

Identify and resolve CSV import errors directly in the SFTP file viewer to fix your files quickly and accurately.

When a CSV file uploaded via SFTP fails to import, Kolleno displays an inline error message directly in the file list. This lets you immediately see which columns or data fields are missing or incorrect so you can fix the file accurately without any guesswork.

Steps

  1. Go to your Settings.

  2. Click on Accounting.

  3. Scroll down to the CSV via SFTP section and click View.

  4. Locate the file that has failed — it will display a red error message next to it.

  5. Read the error to identify which required columns are missing (e.g., id, customer_id, ref, amount, balance, currency_iso, date_issued).

  6. Correct the CSV file to include all required columns and re-upload it to the SFTP folder.
