If your payouts are not reconciling into QuickBooks from Kolleno, you may see this error:

QB Exception 6000: A business validation error has occurred while processing your request
Business Validation Error: Select a bank account for this deposit.

This article explains why this error happens and how to fix it so payouts can sync correctly.

Why This Happens

QuickBooks requires every deposit to be linked to an active bank account. This error appears when no default bank account is selected in your integration settings, or when the account previously selected has been made inactive, deleted, or set to the wrong account type.

Because QuickBooks cannot determine where to post the deposit, it rejects the transaction and prevents Kolleno from syncing the payout

What to Check in QuickBooks

  1. Open QuickBooks and go to Settings → Chart of Accounts.

  2. Verify that the bank account you want to use:

    • Exists and is active.

    • Is of type Bank (not expense, liability, or income).

How to Fix It in Kolleno

  1. In Kolleno, go to Settings → Payments→ Stipe→ Reconciliation.

  2. Please select the currency to be configured for the payout e.g. USD ($) -> Next

  3. Under the Bank Ledger -> Select the correct bank account you confirmed or created in QuickBooks.

  4. Click Save to update your settings.

After Updating

Once the correct account is selected in Kolleno, payouts will be reflected. For past payments and payouts, you will need to handle them manually by synchronizing.
