Credit Notes Reconciliation

You can reconcile credit notes with your invoice. It creates a Customer Payment applying the credit note to the invoice in NetSuite.

When you use the Kolleno Bank Account Reconciliation module, you might need to reconcile credit notes as part of the transaction.

Example:

  • Invoice with a total amount of $100

  • Payment transaction for $80

If you reconcile the invoice with the transaction, there will be $20 remaining on the invoice to move from partially reconciled to fully reconciled.

At this point, you have 2 options:

  1. Reconcile the $20 remaining on another transaction

  2. Apply the $20 as a credit note to the invoice

If you choose this second option, you can do directly within the same screen by clicking on the “Credit Notes” tab. You will need to make sure to apply $100 to the invoice, and $20 on the credit note. Kolleno will then do the magic.

If you use NetSuite, Kolleno will go even further: it creates a Customer Payment applying the credit note to the invoice in the context of the Customer Payment! If that’s not beautiful, what is?
