This article highlights the situations when you would need to make a payment to change the status of the bank account manadate.

If your customer adds a bank account mandate via the Kolleno GoCardless integration, you will first need to make a payment to change its status, as per GoCardless documentation:

Please note that SEPA, Becs, Becs NZ, PAD and ACH mandates are only set up when the first payment is due to be processed
