Custom tabs in the Task Manager let you save a specific set of filters and columns as a named view, so you can switch between different working contexts quickly.
You can edit an existing custom tab directly updating its name, icon, filters, columns, and sharing settings without losing your work or disrupting other users.
Who Can Edit a Tab?
Only the owner of a custom tab can edit it. If a tab was created by another user, the edit option will not be visible to you. You can still use shared tabs you just cannot modify ones you do not own.
How to Edit a Custom Tab
Go to Task Manager from the left-hand navigation.
Locate the custom tab you want to edit at the top of the Task Manager view.
Click the settings or options icon on the tab (visible only on tabs you own).
Select Edit tab from the menu.
The tab settings panel will open. You can update any of the following:
Setting | Description |
Name | Rename the tab to reflect its purpose |
Filters | Update the filter conditions saved to this tab |
Columns | Change which columns are displayed when this tab is active |
Shared | Allow other users in your company to copy this tab |
Global | Make this tab visible to all users in your company |
Make your changes and click Save.
Your tab will update immediately no need to delete and recreate it.
Deleting a Custom Tab
If you no longer need a custom tab, you can delete it from the same tab settings menu. Click the settings icon on the tab and select Delete tab. This action cannot be undone.
