How Kolleno handles feature ideas and suggestions

The two routes for turning an idea into a delivered feature: the free suggestions form and a quoted Order Form.

We love hearing how Kolleno can work better for you. Every idea helps shape the product, and this article explains what happens after you share one, so you know what to expect.

Two ways to get a feature built

There are two routes for turning an idea into a delivered feature. They serve different needs, and you can choose whichever fits.

1. The suggestions form (free, no committed timeline)

The simplest way to put an idea forward is our suggestions form.

  • It's free.

  • We compile requests and ideas from all users to help us prioritize.

  • Popular requests, or those that fit the product roadmap, move up the queue.

  • An idea requested by a single client typically gets built in the medium to long term, if and when it fits the roadmap.

  • There is no committed delivery date.

This is the right route when you'd like something added but aren't working to a deadline.

2. An Order Form (quoted, with delivery dates)

When you need a feature built to a committed timeline, we can develop it under an Order Form.

  • We provide a quote for the work.

  • Delivery is scheduled against agreed dates rather than the general roadmap.

  • This is a commercial agreement: paying for development de-prioritises our main roadmap to build your request on a committed schedule.

  • This route guarantees that the feature will be built.

Just ask, and we'll prepare a quote so you can decide.

What paid development does and doesn't include

Paid development pays for fast-tracking: it's how a single-client request gets built on a committed timeline instead of waiting on the general roadmap.

It does not include exclusivity. A feature funded this way may later become available to all clients. That's expected and is part of how Kolleno grows for everyone. It doesn't change what the paid development covered, which is the committed timeline.

In short

  • Want it eventually, no deadline? Use the suggestions form. It's free.

  • Need it on a committed timeline? Ask us for a quote and we'll build it under an Order Form.

  • Paid development buys speed and a committed date, not exclusivity.
