What the AI Summary and AI Resolution Fields?

Learn how the AI summary and resolution fields work — when they update, when they're generated, and how they interact with content your team writes manually.

AI Summary

Every task has a short AI-generated summary that describes what's currently happening — who contacted you, what the issue is, and where things stand. It sits at the top of the task panel and updates automatically as the task progresses.

The summary refreshes after any of the following:

  • A new communication is linked to the task

  • An action is created or marked as complete

  • The task status changes

  • The task is first created manually

To avoid unnecessary updates when multiple things happen in quick succession, the system waits two minutes after the last trigger before regenerating. The timestamp of the last update is visible on the task.

AI Resolution

When a task is marked as Completed, the AI automatically writes a short resolution summary — a plain-language record of what happened and how it was resolved.

Two things to note:

  • The resolution is only generated if the field is currently empty. If someone on your team has already written a resolution manually, the AI will not overwrite it. You can overwrite it at any time.

  • The AI does not generate a resolution when a task is Dismissed — only when it is Completed.
