SFTP Upload: Incremental Data Only

When uploading data to Kolleno via SFTP, you do not need to send your entire dataset on every upload.

What to upload

Only include records that have been created or modified since your last SFTP upload. Kolleno will process these incremental changes and update your data accordingly.

Why incremental uploads?

  • Faster transfers β€” smaller files mean shorter upload times

  • Lower processing overhead β€” only changed records are reconciled

  • Reduced risk of timeouts β€” large full-dataset uploads can fail on big accounts

What counts as a "modified" record?

Any record where one or more fields have changed since the previous successful upload. For example:

  • An invoice whose status, balance, or due date has changed

  • A customer whose contact details or credit terms have been updated

  • A new payment that was applied after the last upload

First upload

For your initial SFTP upload, send the full dataset so Kolleno has a complete starting baseline. From the second upload onwards, send incremental changes only.
