Understanding MCP Permission Errors

Why some MCP tools return access errors and how to check your company permissions.

Updated yesterday

Some MCP tools depend on account-level or company-level permissions. If a tool returns an access error, your user may not have the required feature enabled for that company.

Common examples include reporting, payouts, and payment-related tool access. In these cases, ask a Kolleno admin to verify your permissions for the target company.

If one teammate can run a tool and another cannot, compare company access roles first. This usually identifies the root cause quickly.
