Some ERPs can be slow when retrieving and returning invoice PDFs to users. To improve efficiency, Kolleno has implemented a caching system that saves the invoice PDF upon first retrieval. This ensures that subsequent retrievals are significantly faster.

How It Works

  • The first time an invoice PDF is retrieved via Kolleno, it is saved in cache.

  • Any subsequent request for the same invoice PDF will load from the cache, reducing retrieval time from potentially 30 seconds to just a few milliseconds.

  • Most accounting software and ERPs typically return invoices within 3 seconds, but for slower systems, this feature significantly enhances performance.

  • Every time the invoice is modified in your ERP, Kolleno invalidates the cached file and will require the platform to re-fetch it from your ERP.

Default Setting

  • PDF caching is enabled by default for all users.

  • If required, this feature can be deactivated upon request.

Benefits of Caching

  • Faster access to invoices, improving workflow efficiency.

  • Reduced load on the ERP, preventing unnecessary repeated requests.

  • Improved user experience, especially for high-volume invoice retrieval scenarios.
